Kaka, Guti, & Rafael Van Der Vaart Ready To Return For Real Madrid

Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini has been given a boost today ahead of Sunday's league clash against Mallorca, as Kaka, Rafael Van der Vaart and Guti all returned to training without incident.

According to Real Madrid's official website, Van der Vaart has fully recovered from the ankle injury that he suffered against Osasuna last weekend and felt no pain as he trained regularly for the first time this week.

Kaka, who hasn't featured for the Whites since the clash against Barcelona, has shaken off his hernia problem and is also ready to make a comeback this weekend.

The biggest news is the return of Guti, who seems to have finally won back the confidence of his coach. The controversial midfielder has been frozen out of the squad since the 4-0 loss against Alcorcon back in October with an ambiguous thigh injury.

On the other hand, Lassana Diarra, who is suspended after receiving five yellow cards, trained in the gym with Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Ezequiel Garay.

The rest of the squad did intense physical workouts and ball exercises under the freezing conditions in Madrid, where temperatures are currently at -1°C.

Real Madrid square off against Mallorca at the Bernabeu on Sunday evening at 19:00 CET.
